Yeller’s Tongue
“It don’t whisper. It don’t clang. It screams, lad—and if it don’t kill ya, it’ll leave ya ears ringin’ ‘til next winter.”
Yeller’s Tongue is a warblade for those who want to be heard. Its edge glows hot red like fresh steel, and the jagged runes etched down the fuller pulse with trapped breath. It ain’t sharp ‘cause it cuts. It’s sharp ‘cause it announces its swing with a roar. And if ya point it the right way, it’ll bark a blast of thunder straight from the blade’s mouth—no swing needed.
Mike swears it once screamed so loud it ended a bar fight, a marriage, and a game of dice—all in one blast. “Still the quietest night that week,” he grunted.
For when ya want the enemy dead and the whole town aware.

While attuned, the wielder has disadvantage on Stealth checks and automatically fails sound-based Perception checks. The sword literally won’t shut up.
GM Notes:
Ideal for frontline brawlers who don’t care about subtlety. Give it to a bard with a death wish, a barbarian who hates quiet, or a warlock who thinks explosions are foreplay. The ranged use is intentionally underwhelming—but useful for style, finishing blows, or flex moments.
Pair it with:
The Dagger That Hates the Sun for loud-vs-silent contrast
You don’t swing Yeller’s Tongue for the kill. You swing it for the statement.

FAQ
Q: Can I use the ranged roar every turn?
A: Yep—but it ends yer swingin’ fun until next turn. Worth it if ya want to shout someone off a ledge.
Q: Does the melee damage hit multiple targets?
A: Nah, lad. It ain’t that loud. Just one poor fool at a time.
Q: Can I silence it magically?
A: Only for a round. Then it screams louder. Mike tried once. Had to rebuild a wall.
