Turning a Quiet New Player Into an Engaged Roleplayer
A new player froze whenever it was their turn to speak. Instead of forcing them into the spotlight, I let them whisper their character’s actions to me and narrated on their behalf for the first few sessions. With patience and no judgment, they eventually found their confidence and began roleplaying out loud.
Bringing shy players into the game often takes more encouragement than instruction.
