  Every time the wearer casts a fire spell through the amulet, roll a d10. On a 1–2, the flame surges: the caster takes 1d6 fire damage as the spell flares back uncontrollably.

• Quirk – Emotional Sparks:
  If the wearer becomes angry, the amulet heats up and emits a small trail of smoke. Stealth checks may suffer (DM’s discretion), and dry fabric might start smoldering.
