  When the wearer tells a lie, the sparrow engraving may flutter its wings and chirp audibly. Creatures within 10 feet may notice with a DC 15 Perception check.

• Sentient (Mild):
  The ring has limited sentience. It cannot speak, but it understands Common and Auran, and chirps once in response to lies, cruelty toward birds, or the presence of undead. If worn consistently by a deceptive or violent soul, it begins to hum softly at night—like a lullaby played in reverse.
