Whisperfang, the Moon-Touched Dagger

Second of the Pathworn Relics

“By the silver spit of Velra, this blade don’t cut — it forgets you were ever there.”

Mike’s Whispers: A Blade You Don’t Find — It Finds You

This dagger ain’t just quiet — it’s grieving.

They say it was carved from the fang of a wolf who howled so loud it cracked the moon, then vanished without a trace. Or maybe it was born from the shadow of a god’s last breath. I dunno. I found it stuck in a bar table. Stuck deep. Table never got over it.

Whisperfang don’t gleam. It glows — faint, pale, and wrong in the right way. It moves smooth. Slides into sheaths like it belongs there. Kinda like how lies slide into memory when no one’s lookin’.

It don’t start flashy. Like the rest of the Pathworn Relics, it waits for you to prove yer worth — not with strength, but with silence. With patience. With blood that no one remembers spillin’.

Drop It Where Shadows Mourn

Whisperfang belongs in a locked box under a bridge that no one remembers building. Or clutched in the hand of a long-dead assassin who didn’t die from wounds. Maybe it shows up in a dream. Maybe it’s already in the player’s inventory, and no one recalls where they got it.

Not All Knives Want Glory. Some Just Want Silence.

📌 If yer weapon says “notice me,” toss it in a river and learn to shut up.
👉 Whisperfang ain’t for show-offs. It’s for those who walk between words, who slip through stories like smoke. Pair it with Mistweave Leathers for full shadow synergy, or hide it behind the Ironhowl Bastion if yer rogue’s fakin’ frontline courage. Need guidance? Ask Mike in whispers.

FAQ

Q: Does the stealth bonus apply if the dagger is sheathed?
A: Aye. Just being attuned to it counts. It don’t care where it rests, long as it’s close.

Q: Can the memory-wipe crit stack with charm effects?
A: Up to yer GM, but aye — it can cause some very awkward follow-up conversations.

Q: What if the moon’s not out?
A: The blade carries its own echo of moonlight. Yer fine. But if a real full moon’s out? Expect a little… extra.
